Protecting the human rights of women and girls trafficked for forced prostitution in Kosovo
Amnesty International today calls on the EU to step up its financial and legal support for the fight against trafficking in women, following the release of a new Amnesty report detailing the suffering of women who are trafficked and forced into prostitution in Kosovo.
(Brussels 4 May, 2004) In a report released in Brussels only days after the EU’s historic enlargement, Amnesty International has turned the spotlight on human rights issues in psychiatric hospitals in Romania, which is a candidate for the next wave of EU expansion.
