05/12/2014 – The Hungarian police must withdraw an offensive ‘awareness raising’ video, which explicitly puts the blame for sexual violence and responsibility for its prevention on women and girls, Amnesty International said in a letter sent to the country’s Minister of Interior.

The root causes of gender-based violence and restrictions of women and girls’ sexual and reproductive rights are the same – systematic gender discrimination rooted in patriarchal structures that control women and girls’ choices and freedoms.

The UK is signed up to international agreements to protect women and girls rights to life and health. This should mean all women and girls in the UK, not just some of us.
