26/04/2012 – In June 2012, the Council of the European Union will approve the extension of the mandate of the EU-led rule of law mission in Kosovo, (EULEX). In this report, Amnesty International advocates that the new mandate should include specific measures to ensure that EULEX, as a matter of urgency, prioritizes the investigation and prosecution of crimes under international law, including war crimes and crimes against humanity.

03/04/2012 – Under the new European Framework for National Roma Integration Strategies, EU Member States were required to submit strategies on Roma inclusion to the European Commission (EC) by the end of December 2011.

03/04/2012 – On 3 April, in Chisinau, Amnesty International will launch the briefing Unfinished Business: Combating Torture and Ill-treatment in Moldova. The briefing updates previous reports we have produced on torture and other ill-treatment in Moldova, and examines actions by the Moldovan authorities to address human rights violations committed by police in April 2009 following the election demonstrations.
