Turkey still failing to respect right to conscientious objection
14/12/2011 – Ahead of the EU-Russia Summit on 15 December, Amnesty International has called on the EU to raise the issue of human rights.
13/12/2011 – Amnesty International has published a report on police discrimination in an EU country. We look to the EU institutions to confront this reality in Spain and other EU countries, to ensure migration policy goals comply with the EU acquis on the right to non-discrimination.

29/11/2011 – Thousands of Roma in Italy live in camps located at the outskirts of urban areas, without access to most basic facilities. they face prejudice and hostility. Over the years, many human rights organizations have urged the Italian government to address this situation, end the discrimination experienced by Romani people and ensure respect of their human rights, including the right to adequate housing. This report recounts how the Italian authorities have turned their backs on these calls, and have treated Romani settlements as security threats.
16/11/2011 – The rights to freedom of expression and assembly in azerbaijan are severely restricted. in spite of this, youth activists, political opposition parties and others organized public protests in march and april 2011, demanding more freedoms and regime change.
03/11/2011 – Amnesty International has expressed concern at the cancellation of the Belgrade Pride that was scheduled for 2 October 2011, and have urged that measures be taken to ensure that the Belgrade Pride (including a march and associated events) can take place in 2012.
