Press Conference to launch new Amnesty International report:
Dangerously disproportionate: the ever-expanding national security state in Europe
Amnesty International is launching a major new report on the effect of counter terrorism measures on human rights across Europe. With comprehensive human rights analysis and case studies from 14 European countries, the report details how counter terror measures, intended to address the threat of terrorism, are driving Europe into a deep and dangerous state of permanent securitization.
