03/06/2009 – At their meeting on 4 and 5 June 2009 JHA Ministers will have a political debate on the Asylum Proposals presented by the Commission in December 2008 and February 2009, as well as the recent developments with regard to the return to Libya of asylum-seekers, migrants and refugees intercepted or rescued at sea by the Italian authorities. Amnesty International would like to raise a number of concerns ahead of your discussions in the JHA Council with regard to both issues.
