(Brussels, 11 June) EU Foreign Ministers need to clearly spell out the EU’s unwavering support for human rights and respect for international humanitarian law says Amnesty International ahead of their meeting in Luxembourg on 15 June and the forthcoming EU-Israel Association Council.
“In its relations with Israel, the EU is currently failing to promote one of its own key objectives: compliance with international humanitarian law” said Nicolas Beger, Director of Amnesty International’s EU Office. “The EU is also failing to give vital and urgently needed support to the United Nations.”
