08/01/2015 – Palestine’s accession to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (ICC) is a welcome move that will help deter war crimes and end impunity in the region, and should be supported by European countries said Amnesty International, Broederlijk Delen, Christian Aid, the Coalition for the ICC, the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), and Pax Christi Flanders today.
08/01/2015 – Israel, the USA and EU member states must refrain from punishing or threatening Palestine for taking the positive step of granting the International Criminal Court (ICC) jurisdiction over crimes under international law in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT), Amnesty International said today.
This is a dark day for freedom of expression and a vibrant press culture. But above all, it is an appalling human tragedy.
06/01/2015 – New requirements imposed by the Lebanese authorities which may restrict access for people desperate to flee Syria is yet another stark reminder that the international community must do much more to assist.

19/12/2014 – Following 20 years of campaigning and advocacy, and seven years of formal discussions, on 24 December 2014 the global Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) will finally enter into force. This is a historic moment, and a testament to the hard work, determination and cooperation shown by many committed people in civil society, in national governments across the world, at the United Nations (UN), and in regional organisations such as the European Union (EU).
