12/12/2014 – The adoption in 2012 of the European Union (EU) Strategic Framework and Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy marked a new step in reinforcing EU and member states’ support of the work of Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) through the establishment of explicit objectives and targeted actions.
