17/04/2012 – If the EU China High Level People to People Dialogue on culture is to lead to “concrete actions that are to determine a positive evolution of our societies, in the full respect of their highly valued diversity”, human rights must be at the heart of discussions. We urge the EU to use every opportunity to call on China to fully respect, promote and protect the right to freedom of expression, assembly and association, as well as cultural rights, in particular of ethnic minorities.
