Italy: The witch-hunt against Roma people must end
24/07/2008 – The Ministry of Interior has estimated that there are approximately 140,000 – 170,000 Romani persons in Italy. Around half of these are Italian citizens while the other half are stateless or in some cases citizens of other, primarily eastern European, countries. Romani persons often have difficulties in obtaining citizenship in Italy.
