Civil Society Europe, Amnesty International, the Civil Liberties Union for Europe, the European Partnership for Democracy, ILGA-Europe and Philanthropy Europe Association (Philea) welcome the European Commission’s decision on carrying an impact assessment. We would like to highlight some key elements of the process including its fundamental rights dimension. We also reiterate the importance of a structured dialogue with civil society organisations and its key elements beyond the organisation of a meeting, this includes a discussion on policy options, and access to relevant documents.
