24/02/2014 – (Brussels, 24 February 2014) Amnesty International is disappointed that the European Union (EU) member states refused last week to approve a compromise text to support the European Commission’s legal initiative to strengthen the transparency and accountability of European businesses on the social and environmental impact of their operations.
