A message from over 55,000 Europeans to Germany: Stop blocking the new EU Equality Directive!

On 7 July, Amnesty International Germany’s Director, Monika Lüke handed over more than 55,000 signatures in support of a new EU Equality Directive to the Human Rights Commissioner of the German Federal government, Markus Löning.  Amnesty International had gathered the signatures throughout the Spanish EU presidency in an attempt to change Germany’s opposition to the directive currently with the Council of the EU.
