AIRE Centre and Amnesty International’s submission to CDDH-UE March 2011
20/03/2011 – The AIRE Centre and Amnesty International consider that the accession of the European Union (‘EU’) to the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms (‘ECHR’ or ‘Convention’) could and should improve protection of fundamental rights for individuals in Europe, by ensuring protection of those rights in the context of the acts and omissions of EU institutions of EU Member States implementing EU law.
